Funding the Bachelor of Education Students from the Faculty of Education
to Study the Minor Programmes from 2026/2027 to 2028/2029
and the Portuguese Language Summer Programme in 2026
Undergraduate students of FED, who will undertake the important task of teaching students in local schools, should be equipped with multilingual capabilities. They are committed to cultivating school students with bilingual or multilingual talents in Chinese, Portuguese, and English, in order to promote the exchanges and cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
A. Subsidy Scheme for Students in Bachelor of Education (Chinese) programme in studying the Minor in Chinese Language and Literature
- Quota: 3
- Eligibility:

- Students in Bachelor of Education (Chinese) programme admitted in the academic year of 2025/2026;
- Enrolling the Minor in Chinese Language and Literature programme;
- Cumulative GPA at 2.8 or above;
- Students must submit their subsidy applications in the 2nd semester of the academic year of 2025/2026.
- Subsidy Release:

- Subsidized students must first pay the tuition fee for studying the Minor programme each semester during the academic year of 2026/2027 to the academic year of 2028/2029, as required by the University;
- Upon completion of each semester, subsidized students are required to submit proof of payment for the Minor programme tuition fee, along with their academic record of the previous semester for verification that the Minor programme has been maintained, at least one course required by the Minor programme has been completed with a passing grade and a CGPA of 2.8 or above has been achieved. Eligible students will be granted funding.
B. Subsidy Scheme for Students in Bachelor of Education programmes in studying the Minor in Portuguese Studies
- Quota: 5
- Eligibility:

- Students in Bachelor of Education programmes admitted or resumed in or before the academic year of 2025/2026;
- Enrolling the Minor in Portuguese Studies programme;
- Cumulative GPA at 2.8 or above;
- Students must submit their subsidy applications in the 2nd semester of the academic year of 2025/2026.
- Subsidy Release:

- Subsidized students must first pay the tuition fee for studying the Minor programme each semester during the academic year of 2026/2027 to the academic year of 2028/2029, as required by the University;
- Upon completion of each semester, subsidized students are required to submit proof of payment for the Minor programme tuition fee, along with their academic record of the previous semester for verification that the Minor programme has been maintained, at least one course required by the Minor programme has been completed with a passing grade and a CGPA of 2.8 or above has been achieved. C. Subsidy Scheme for Students in Bachelor of Education programmes in taking the Portuguese Language Summer Programme in 2026
(The programme information for 2026 has not been officially announced yet. Interested students may refer to last year’s programme information.)

- Eligibility:

- Students in Bachelor of Education programmes;
- Cumulative GPA at 2.8 or above;
- Students must submit their subsidy applications in the 2nd semester of the academic year of 2025/2026.
- Subsidy Release:
-
- Subsidized students must first pay the programme fee for taking the summer programme as required by the programme regulation. Upon completion of the programme and receipt of the certificate, subsidized students are required to submit the certificate for verification of successful completion of the programme with passing grades. Eligible students will be granted funding.
