RESEARCH AREA

Prof Choi’s research focuses on physical literacy, with a particular emphasis on its application in physical education through frameworks such as Sport Education and mindfulness pedagogy. His studies explore the relationship between physical literacy and key factors such as physical activity levels, motivation, quality of life, and teaching efficacy across diverse populations, including university students, adolescents, and older adults. He has examined how adolescents’ perceptions of their physical literacy impact their physical activity and has contributed to similar international studies among children from various cultural backgrounds. Additionally, Prof Choi has researched the role of teaching efficacy in pre-service physical education teachers. His work offers valuable insights into enhancing physical education programs and promoting physical literacy across different age groups and cultural contexts.
